The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) volleyball team (9-14, 2-9 TSC) dropped a 3-0 (25-17, 25-13, 25-16) decision to the Florida Memorial Lions (15-8, 8-4 TSC) on Wednesday evening.
The Wildcats were led offensively by senior Sharell Nairn, who posted 10 kills versus the Lions. The native of Miami, Florida, also collected six digs.
Sophomore Vanessa Orozco tallied 12 assists, while sophomore Jazmine Richardson recorded 13 digs.
JWU finished the match with 18 kills and 22 errors on 98 total attempts (-.041) while FMU registered 33 total kills with 15 errors on 90 attempts (.200). The Lions held a 52-38 edge in digs while JWU recorded 4.0 total team blocks to 2.0 for FMU.
