NORTH MIAMI, Fla. (November 8, 2019) – The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) volleyball team (9-18, 2-13 TSC) will host the Coastal Georgia Mariners (18-8, 11-4 TSC) on Saturday, November 9. Game time from the Wildcat Center is set for 2:00 p.m.
Prior to the start of the match, JWU will recognize its senior class, who will be playing in the final home match of their Wildcat careers.

The Johnson & Wales (Fla.) volleyball team (9-18, 2-13 TSC) were downed by the Ave Maria Gyrenes (13-12, 7-8 TSC), 3-0 (25-20, 25-15, 25-19) on Wednesday evening.
The Wildcats were led offensively by senior Sierra Mooney, who posted a team-best 11 kills versus the Gyrenes. Senior Sharell Nairn also reached double-figures in kills with 10. The native of Miami, Florida, also registered seven digs.
Sophomore Vanessa Orozco tallied a team-high 20 assists and collected 11 digs for her 10th double-double of the season. Junior Bianca Torres joined Orozco for the lead in digs, recording 11 as well.
JWU finished the match with 26 kills and 20 errors on 88 total attempts (.068) AMU recorded 37 kills and 17 errors on 92 total attempts (.217). The Gyrenes held a 36-34 edge in total digs and notched 7.0 total team blocks to 3.0 for JWU.

The Series History: Saturday's match will mark the sixth meeting all-time between JWU and Coastal Georgia with the Mariners holding a 5-0 edge in the series history.
